Brazilian appetizer

The combination of olives, cheese cubes and sausage creates one of the most popular party appetizers in Brazil. It is assembled on a toothpick and it's finger food. It's called mischievously  SACANAGEM that means something like "threesome", " menage a trois" or  "three way" in English. Food also can be sexually Daliciuus™ .

Tea coconut cookies

Here is a new version of "sequilhos" -  Brazilian cookies made with manioc starch, French butter and coconut milk. A great companion for the upcoming winter nights.

Necklace land II

All pieces below were made by me between late 2005 and early's 2006 but I have the impression that I could have made them last night for my Fall 2008.

What's fashion these days?

There is no fashion when it comes to timeless style.

Adriana Calcanhotto

Adriana Calcanhotto is one of my favorites Brazilian singers. She is also a songwriter who was born in Rio Grande do Sul but has chosen Rio de Janeiro to live and base her career that dates from the early's 90. She has been one of the most talented new voices of Brazil and her music makes me happy and emotional. Her lyrics have a status of poetry and she works with the Portuguese language like no other female songwriter of her generation. I consider her a daughter of Tropicalia and she carries it along on her work that is a fusion of rhythms, styles and sounds.

My friend Eliza from Sao Paulo sent me her latest record and after I played the entire album I was feeling so alive and I got emotional.

Her recent record (cover above) is called "Mare" (tide) and like the ocean is rich of colors, textures, siren melodies, high waves, low and high tides and her voice flows like streams of water reaching for the vast sea.

If you like  music I suggest you to listen to Adriana's work and capture the essence of her work -modern melodies full of love and understanding of the human soul.

Undoubtedly  a Daliciuus™ music record.

CD title "Mare" by Adriana Calcanhotto
Produced by Arto Lindsay and Adriana Calcanhotto.
with collaboration of Moreno Veloso, Domenico Lancelloti, Kassin, Marisa Monte, Gilberto Gil,  Jards Macale, De Palmeira, Rodrigo Amarante, among others.

Lots of talking and little bit of fishing...to relax!

A railroad by the lake.

Sunny sky!
Summer time...

Without planning we've decided to spend the day down the shore. We drove to Asbury Park on Saturday morning to visit with a beloved friend and we soaked up the sun and had lots of fun. The beach was perfect!  It's cool to go with the flow.

Full moon night in Asbury Park

Asbury Park is going through an entire process of revitalization and it has become one of the most attractive places at the Jersey Shore. A strong gay community is moving in, buying houses, opening new business and bringing lots of style, glamour and happiness to the city. That's what the  world needs. Let's all be gay !!!

The following pictures are a small sample of the many daliciuus aspects of the city.

The adorable smiley face above belongs to Iulian (clicked twice), my Romanian friend who's visiting the States for the first time.
He is 21 yr, very handsome and daliciuus. He represents the up and coming  Asbury Park.
I hope he's back next Summer for modeling for my boys jewelry line. He is already the inspiration for my whole collection.

Viva, Romania!!!

It was around midnight and the crowd was having a ball...not thoughts about going to bed at all.

This building reminds me of a pineapple...a pineapple crown.

Isn't fabulous!?

Full moon night...maybe Madam Marie got the solutions for all my issues.
Lot's of excitement in the air...
I might try her reading next Summer. The sign is 1derful™ !!!

I wonder if her crystal ball was made by Swarovski cause that would give me more confidence...hum!

Moon light over the sky - a chance for love! and for sex!!! huahuahua

Sexy flip flops

The brazilian flip flops brand "Havaianas" is a must have item on your summer tote...or on your feet. You can find their ads in many  fashion/life style magazines. The ads are colorful, vibrant and always bring a facet of Brazil. I picked this one.

Brazilian coconut cookies - Sequilhos

It's "tabuleiro" time... to make it perfect  grab a coffee...hummmm

Sunrise

"Here comes the sun,
  Here comes the sun,
  Sun, Sun, Sun..."

Vintage Butterfly

This look was assembled by me. I like the butterfly brooch and the necklace made with Lucite beads...all is approximately circa 70"s. I think that looks just like some new jewelry worn by the "fashionistas" now.

The new is old and the old is new!!!

Move your hands,  spin it around your wrist, move it and bring it to life.
It's all about making noise!!!

Summer dessert

Sliced fresh strawberries layered with Maria cookies and cream parfait.
A last minute dessert to welcome beloved ones. The plates next to this daliciuus sweet decadence were found at an antique shop by the Poconos....Fiesta dessert plates.
The vintage colors are amazing and were the perfect alibi to make something between traditional and edgy (half chocolate covered strawberries  topping a limey and milky cream with an abstract twist)!!!
Yes, food also can be edgy.
Make sure to pop a sparkling to serve with it and cheers!!!

Life is good!!!

Friends from Rio de Janeiro

Afternoon caipirinhas!

The couple featured above is The Nahms. The photo was taken during a midsummer afternoon in Ipanema's beach. The atmosphere brought me so many good memories of countless vacations I spent in Rio. Ilana is a bead shop owner and we share our love for good food, cocktails, music, trends, fashion, pop culture and spiritual achievement. The couple's mood exudes happiness and it looks daliciuusly carioca.  Cheers to life!!!
Viva aa vida!!!
